David’s Bio

Artist Bio – Dave Currie was raised in Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island.  He spent his summers roaming the beaches of Oak Bay and spending weekends in their cabin on Piers Island with his Family

Shortly after moving to Whistler BC in 1987, Currie Artworks began. In the early 90’s Dave was drawing band posters for a local Whistler bar. After many years of experimenting in different mediums, Dave took up acrylic painting

I live in beautiful Squamish BC , Sea to Sky Country. The inspiration of the West Coast shines in my acrylic paintings. Painting has become my passion with a heavy influence from my love of the Pacific Ocean and Coastal Mountains.

An avid fly fisher for over two decades has taught me patience which I apply to my own Mosaic style. I have been lucky enough to experience many British Columbia adventures.

These perspectives of the world around me moves my soul and brings out my creativity.

Dave is active in his community and has supported Steelhead  Society of BC, Sunshine Coast Salmonid Enhancment Society, ALS Society of British Columbia, Sannich Peninsula Hospital Foundation,and 2010 Paralympics Whistler.
